"Quick Removal" of USB drives

Posted by mikeg on March 24, 2009

I’ve been using USB drives and thumb drives for some time, but this is the first time I ran across the following dialog. I tried to format an 80GB drive and got this message.

The interesting question is how do you enable “quick removal” and what limitations does it have.

Team Building Activities

Posted by mikeg on March 24, 2009

There is a time-tested team building activity of getting drunk together but at some point it gets a bit old (and as you get bigger you start thinking about liabilities), so I decided to collect a list of geographically universal team building activities as well as NYC specific ones

Geographically universal

  • Movie
  • Ice Skating
  • Paintball
  • The Go Game — seems pretty interesting, but probably expensive

NYC-specific:

  • Alley Pond Park Adventure Course — Located in Queens, The Alley Pond Park Adventure Course is a challenge or ropes course, featuring both low– and high–ropes course activities that promote teambuilding and problem–solving skills. The Adventure Course provides challenges and excitement for groups or individuals as they work through physically and intellectually demanding situations. The course is fully accessible; there are activities for all ages and all physical abilities.
  • Bar games at Common Ground (206 Avenue A (between 12th St & 13th St))
